About the Conference
To be held in Albury's magnificent convention centre, the 2009 NSW & Victorian Flood Management Conference will look forward to presenting what promises to be an exciting and topical program for everyone involved in flood management. This event is the premier conference for this sector in NSW and Victoria and is a well established and supported conference in both states. With the 2 states combining their conferences in 2009, between 300 and 400 delegates are expected to attend this conference.
Meeting the high standards set by previous conferences, Albury-Wodonga 2009 will be informative, challenging and entertaining, offering:

- Presentations from highly experienced local and international speakers; and
- Extensive social and networking opportunities
High quality presenters will draw on the latest science, industry expertise and real-world examples to forecast what will be Australia's future in terms of flood management. Sub themes within the conference will focus on:

- Climate change - changing the standards and dealing with intensity
- Risk management - planning and response
- Environmental values and management of our floodplains
- Environmental water for flooding
Field Trips will complement the presentation sessions, taking delegates to relevant and appropriate sites with the local region.
